1940s
Eros Group is founded in Lahore, later relocating to Delhi after Partition to lay the foundations of the business.
1950s
Eros Cinema opens in Jangpura, a classic single-screen cinema noted for its all-recliner luxury seating, becoming the foundation of the Group’s entertainment business.
1960s
Launch of Eros Garden, a residential colony near Surajkund, Faridabad, spread across 30–35 acres.
1970s
Vishal Cinema opens in Rajouri Garden with India’s largest 70mm screen and 1,401 seats, among the largest single-screen theatres of its time.
1980s
Amber Tower and Anupam Commercial Complex rise as landmark commercial developments in Azadpur and Paschim Vihar.
1990s
A decade of rapid expansion: Charmwood Village, one of the region’s first integrated townships, is completed in Faridabad; International Trade Tower opens in Nehru Place; Vishal Tower extends the Group’s footprint to Janakpuri; and Eros Hotel, New Delhi launches, marking its entry into luxury hospitality with 218 rooms.
2000s
F-48 Commercial Tower opens in South Extension as a premium retail and commercial address, followed by the launch of Lakewood City, a 126-acre gated township on Surajkund Road, Faridabad.
2010s
Eros Market Place opens in Indirapuram, and Crowne Plaza, Mayur Vihar brings the Group’s hospitality portfolio to East Delhi.
2020s
IHG Hotels & Resorts signs a management agreement with Eros Group to open InterContinental Eros New Delhi, Nehru Place, a 216-key luxury hotel set to open following renovation — the Group’s next chapter in luxury hospitality.

Founded Eros Group in Lahore in 1940, relocating to Delhi after Partition to build one of the region’s most trusted names in real estate, hospitality and entertainment. Under his stewardship, the Group grew from a single venture into a diversified business house spanning four generations.
